Uninsured motorist coverage
Montgomery Personal Injury Lawyer FAQ Video
Uninsured motorist coverage, and underinsured motorist coverage is recommended for your insurance policy. Why? Because if you get in a wreck with someone who has no or insufficient liability insurance, you will still be protected.
For example, if the person who hit you only has $25,000 in insurance, and you suffer severe injuries $25,000 might not be enough to pay for everything. In this case, if you have $100,000 in underinsured motorist coverage, then you could collect the $25,000 from the other party, as well as the $100,000 from your insurance.
It is recommended that you buy as much of this policy as you can, because the amount you have will determine the amount you will receive if you suffer an injury, and really need to use it.
